Hi, Not sure this is right place to be posting, but...

I'm using the WP Email-to-Facebook plug-in with WordPress 3.2.1 and the link shortening doesn't seem to work when it posts to facebook.

Not sure if I'm missing the point here, but initially I was expecting the facebook post to contain the contents of the post not just a link back to it, then assumed that if it was just a link back to the post it would be a bit.ly shortened one as I had selected this option and entered my bitly API key and username. However it just posts the title of the post and the full URL back to it.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Since you get the full URL the plugin can't get a short URL from Bit.ly, and then the plugin will use the full URL instead. I suggest you try another link shortener service, check your bitly API key or just use the full URL.

It's only the title and the link that's sent to Facebook. The content is at your blog with your ads if you have any. The reason is that this plugin will just let people know about your post to drive traffic to your blog.

Turned out that the problem was that I'm a dick! Had my details in there wrong.
