Is it normal that after 4 months a site still has no page rank assigned to it or rather a rank of 0.

I have requested many links although many have not shown up yet when queried under line:sitedomain.

Just looking for input.

I don't know why, but sometimes it just takes a lot of time before a new page get any page rank. Maybe it's depending on the quality of the links you have pointing to your page?

Page rank depends on quality backlinks. It may take sometime update PR rank for new sites. But what is really important is traffic not PR.

Exactly, traffic is much more valuable since it's the visitors that will earn you money by buying your products and services. Not the search engines

Its take some time to get a PR for new site. Backlinks to your site will also effect PR. Be patient after all we are not the owners of Google.

I've heard something that Google recalculate PR every third month or something.

yes i belive your right i thinks google does a page rank update 3 times every year. hope that helps.

It will take some time to get a PR. If you did not have enough backlinks when Google is updating PR, you may have to wait until next update. Google does not give higher value for PR.

I like to remind you that PR is not a concept of Google. PR is patent to Stanford University.

You may have a point there. I think in the toolbar you just see a gray list if you no PR, otherwise it means 0 PR.

get more quality back links from forum posting, article submission, directory submission, etc.. more quality back links will surely help you to gain PR.

For me, sometimes Google has a consideration the old sites to have a PR, but really depends on quality backlinks to have a good PR.
