Twitt.US is updating the followers count each time you log in.
The number of credits you get is based on two things: 1. Your number of followers. You get maximum 80% of your followers count in credits 2. The maximum number of credits available for the user.
If you for example got 1000 followers and tweet a message for a person with more than 800 credits, you get 800 credits (1000 * 0.8 = 800). The other credits are used to pay you for referring new users to the system.
If the person only got for example 100 credits you would get just 100 credits since that's all the user got, even if you have 1000 or 2000 followers.

It's due to the number of tweets Twitter is getting. They've had more than 2147483647 tweets which is the same as the maximum number you can save as an integer in a SQL database. We've corrected that now.

There's an update to the credit calculation:
If you're a VIP member you get 100% in the above calculation instead of just 80% like regular members. As a VIP member you also get 2,000 credits each Sunday and some other benefits too.
